FR / Designer et chercheuse, Sylvia Fredriksson porte des projets dédiés à la valorisation des communs et travaille autour des enjeux d’appropriation citoyenne des cultures numériques et des technologies comme levier d’émancipation de la société civile. Associée au pôle de recherche de la Cité du design de Saint-Étienne, elle a conduit de 2016 et 2018 le programme Design des Instances, dédié aux nouvelles configurations de l’espace et des outils démocratiques, ainsi que le commissariat scientifique de l’Exposition L’Expérience Tiers-Lieux – Fork The World dans le cadre de la Biennale Internationale Design 2017. Elle contribue aux travaux des collectifs et ONG (SavoirCom1, Remix The Commons, Open Knowledge Foundation) entourant la question des communs. Depuis 2019, Sylvia est coopératrice de la coopérative Oxamyne.

EN / Designer and researcher, Sylvia Fredriksson carries out projects dedicated to the enhancement of the commons and works around the challenges of citizen appropriation of digital cultures and technologies as a lever for the emancipation of civil society. Associated with the research center of the Cité du design de Saint-Étienne, she led the Design of Instances program, dedicated to new configurations of space and democratic tools, from 2016 and 2018, as well as the scientific commission of the Exhibition The Third-Place Experience – Fork The World as part of the 2017 International Design Biennial.
