FR / Fanny Chevalier est Assistant Professor (Maître de Conférences) à l’Université de Toronto. Ses domaines de recherche sont la Visualisation Analytique, la Visualisation d’Information et l’Interaction Homme-Machine. Plus particulièrement, elle s’intéresse à comprendre comment permettre une meilleure communication, analyse et raisonnement autour de données souvent riches et complexes. Son approche scientifique combine conception et évaluation de nouvelles méthodes et outils pour la communication visuelle d’information, la science de l’éducation, et le rôle de la créativité pour la démocratisation de la visualisation. Fanny a publié plus de 50 articles dans des journaux et conférences de stature internationale. Son travail de recherche sur l’animation a fait l’objet d’un produit commercial, Autodesk Sketchbook Motion, nominé application iPad de l’année 2016 par Apple. 

EN / Fanny Chevalier is Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. Her research areas are Analytical Visualization, Information Visualization and Human-Machine Interaction. More specifically, she is interested in understanding how to enable better communication, analysis and reasoning around often rich and complex data. Her scientific approach combines the design and evaluation of new methods and tools for visual communication of information, the science of education, and the role of creativity in the democratization of visualization. Fanny has published more than 50 articles in journals and conferences of international stature. Her animation research has been the subject of a commercial product, Autodesk Sketchbook Motion, named Apple iPad App of the Year 2016.
